How To Reheat Your Lasagna
Tools: Baking sheet, cake tester, aluminum foil (maybe)
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F
2. Remove the lid from the lasagna.
3. Put the lasagna on the baking sheet.
4. Bake the lasagna. If cooking from fresh, this will take around 45 minutes. If you have decided to freeze the lasagna for later, bake from frozen for around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Disclaimer - Every oven is different. Times may vary, you will have to check if your lasagna is ready. The sauce around the sides should be hot and bubbly, and a cake tester or paring knife inserted into the middle of the lasagna should come out hot after 8 seconds. If the lasagna isn’t hot, add another 5 minutes to the timer and repeat. If the lasagna is getting dark on the top but is not hot in the middle, cover the top with a piece of aluminum foil.
5. Optional Broil. Give the top some extra crunch with the broiler. Take care not to burn the lasagna at this stage!
6. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes, it will be dangerously hot.
7. Eat the lasagna. Serve it up on some plates, or eat it straight out of the thing like I do. Feel free to grate some extra parm on top, or add a few cracks of fresh black pepper. Both are nice, neither is necessary.
Buon Appetito!
